Paula is a Research Analyst of the Gender Innovation Lab, part of the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the World Bank. She has worked in econometric research for several years, with experience in in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Latin America and is currently involved in projects using field experiments and surveys. Her main focus is on gender, agriculture economics, and conflict. She has a strong interest in new methods that seek to improve the quality of data collection, data measurement and analysis. Before joining GIL, Paula had the opportunity to work and collaborate in the Impact Evaluation unit of the Development Research Group (DIME) and with other research institutions such as the Center of Economic Development Studies (CEDE) at Los Andes University, Colombia, the consulting firm QUANTIL S.A.S Applied Mathematics, Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), and International food Policy (IFPRI). Paula holds a BA and an MA in Economics from Los Andes University, Bogota, Colombia.
