Consultant, Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR)
Robert joined GFDRR as a communications consultant in April 2017, and previously worked as a Senior Advisor for a U.S. Congressman for Silicon Valley and under Chairman Kerry of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He’s worked mostly in legislative and communications capacities, but studied institutional corruption as a fellow at Harvard University and has a background in technology. His soft skills include experience in donor relations, U.S. congressional campaigns, and stakeholder management, and his writing skills include editing and approving staff written products, and drafting legislative text, memos, reports, op-eds, press releases and press advisories. His quantitative skills include Master’s level econometric training and familiarity with SPSS, linear and polynomial regression, and QGIS, and his technical/digital communications skills include managing multiple government website redesigns and technical skills in web design (HTML/CSS, Drupal, WordPress), front-end graphic design (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator), and video production (Adobe After Effects).
