Robert Schlotterer joined the Bank in 2005. He is currently a Lead Infrastructure Finance Specialist in the Financial Solutions unit, part of the Global Themes Vice Presidency (GTPFS). Within GTPFS Robert currently leads a number of transformational flagship infrastructure finance development projects and also provides services including: financial advisory, structuring, negotiations and also supports Financial Solutions management with regard to business development and portfolio management.
Previously Robert held various positions at the World Bank, including Senior Financial Analyst in the Africa Energy Department both in Washington DC and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; as well as Private Sector Development Specialist in the Middle East North Africa region. Robert has particularly broad experience in infrastructure finance, infrastructure sectors dialogue, utility reform and privatization and international project finance transactions. Specific financial structuring experience includes corporate and project finance, acquisition finance, syndication, securitization, leverage leasing, public-private partnerships and structured trade financing.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Robert was Senior Project Manager with KFW-IPEX Bank in Frankfurt, Germany, leading an important amount of international infrastructure project and corporate finance transactions.
Robert has over 18 years of structured finance and development finance experience and holds a Bachelor in Economics from the Freie Universität Berlin and Master in Management from ESCP-Europe, Paris.
