Rong Qian is a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland. She is currently working at the World Bank, Growth and Macroeconomics Group. Her research focuses on International Finance and Open Macroeconomics, with a particular interest in fiscal and debt policy in developing countries. Before joining the Bank, she has also held research positions at the U.S. Congressional Budget Office and the International Monetary Fund.
