Scott Henry

ICT Innovation Intern
Scott Henry is an ICT Innovation Intern at the World Bank focusing on enhancing urban tech innovation ecosystems, exploring new methods of market-based approaches and mobilizing climate technology to solve environmental issues.

He is currently a student at the University of British Columbia studying a combined major in Business and Computer Science, focusing his studies on innovation and entrepreneurship. Prior to the World Bank, Scott worked for iHub Nairobi, a technology innovation hub where he was the Assistant Community Manager. He is interested in examining the connection between innovation and community, assessing the impact that startup ecosystems can have on an economy. Scott analyzes how technology advances can disrupt industries, create entrepreneurship communities and be utilized to further sustainable development practices.

He works globally primarily focusing on East Africa, the Middle East and North Africa. Scott has prior experience in non-profits, social media, community management and business development.
