Stephanie Brunelin is a senior economist at the World Bank where she works on adaptive social protection and youth employment programs. In addition to managing operations, she leads a range of analytical activities on poverty and vulnerability in the Sahel, with a strong focus on the impact of climate-related shocks. Before joining the World Bank, she worked for FAO and the World Food Programme. She received her Ph.D. in development economics from the Centre for Studies and Research in International Development (CERDI) and dedicated her research to the analysis of the impact of food prices and climate shocks on food security, household vulnerability and human capital accumulation in the Sahel.
