Steven Silverstein is a Short-Term Consultant with the Africa Unit of the Environment and Natural Resources Management Global Practice, based in Washington, DC. He works primarily on the Global Practice's "green" business line, contributing to implementation of projects concerning the protection of forests, specifically in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. His research interests include safeguarding environmental concerns in contexts of fragility and conflict, social repercussions of climate change, and the impacts of artisanal mining on forest communities. He holds a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
