Based in London, Vasuki Shastry is responsible for Standard Chartered Bank’s public affairs and sustainability. Previously, he worked at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C., for 16 years, most recently as global head of public affairs. He also headed the communications department of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and worked as a financial journalist for a number of publications in India, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia. Vasuki serves on the board of the UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) and Asia House, a London think-tank. His book on modern Indonesia, Resurgent Indonesia—From Crisis to Confidence, was published by Straits Times Press in March 2018.
