Xiayun Tan is a consultant with the Poverty and Inequality Global Practice. She works with the World Bank South Asia group and focuses on Afghanistan. Prior to joining the World Bank, Xiayun worked as a program coordinator managing development projects in Indonesia in the private sector. Her research interests are poverty, migration, health and quantitative analysis. Xiayun holds a PhD in Policy Studies, focusing on international development, from University of Maryland, College Park.
