Željko Bogetic is lead economist and country sector coordinator for economic policy, poverty and gender for Western Balkans at the World Bank. Previously, he was the lead economist for the Russian Federation and the country coordinator of the Bank’s poverty reduction and economic management team working on Russia. He is currently the main author of South East Europe Regular Economic Report and was previously the main author of the Russian Economic Report. He has served at the World Bank and the IMF over twenty two years in a variety of economist and leadership roles in several world regions, including Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. He holds Ph.D. in economics from the University of Connecticut, United States.
