Senior Communications Officer
Christopher Walsh joined the World Bank Group's water practice to communicate knowledge from staff water experts to the global public, and to shepherd the practice’s contribution of evidence, communications, and knowledge to national, regional, and international water and sanitation advocacy and partnerships. His academic background is in business, communications, and psychology (MBA; BA, College of William and Mary). He has worked with academia, civil society, development partners, foundations, government officials, media, the private sector and others to build transparency, inclusiveness, and knowledge into energy and water projects in sub-Saharan Africa, East and South Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. He is interested in the catalytic impact of mobile technology and open data on overcoming the water crisis and the sanitation crisis.
