Statement by World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim on Paris attacks

WASHINGTON, November 13, 2015—The World Bank Group today issued the following statement from World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim on the attacks in Paris.

"We condemn violence of all kinds and the attacks in Paris are an assault on collective humanity. We send our condolences to all the families of those who have died, to the people of France and its government. This kind of senseless attack is so difficult to comprehend, yet we must respond with unwavering commitment to what makes us human – coming to the aid of all around us, especially the most vulnerable."

Thank you President Jim Yong Kim for condemning yesterday's terrorist attack in Paris, which killed more than 150 innocent individuals.World Leaders should possibly turn their attention to those people who finance and support extreme and violent religious beliefs. Why? In East Africa some misguided believers praised the terrorists who killed men,women and children in Kenya- West Gate and Garisa college
because those killed were selected on the basis of religion.

Our condolences to all families who have lost their loved once in this brutal attack. May the Almighty heal all wounds (emotional, physical and otherwise) that have resulted from this demonic act. The French people (or anyone for that matter) certainly did not deserve this terror
