I agree with the statement that economic development alone is not enough, but people development is also essential. We had a unique experience in providing a comprehensive development program including economic, social and health. Economic development did not involve handouts but linkage with the banking sector for finance backed by developing individuals to utilize the finance appropriately. This experience has been documented in the form of a book soon to be published. It is entitled: 'Businessmen for the Poor: Reducing Poverty by creating small businessmen and businesswomen.'
