I appreciate for the initiatives made by the World Bank in many countries including Tanzania: DMDP, TSCP etc; but the challenge is that engagement in these activities has been with Engineers instead or Urban Develipment Planners working in the relevant Cities or at Ministerial levels. Results: when these Engineers leave the project all new ideas, innovations and strategies lack the appropriate professionals for sustainability. World Bank needs to minimise the engagement of Enginners in early urban design and resilient efforts. In Tz it is a mess in all World Bank funded projects.
