Alicia Marguerie is a Senior Economist in the Social Policy Global Practice of the World Bank. Her work focuses on labor markets, employment policies, and skills, including public employment services and active labor market programs. She combines analytical research with operational engagement, working closely with governments on the design and implementation of employment policy reforms, and has contributed to country programs and policy dialogue in Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Côte d’Ivoire, among others. Alicia joined the World Bank in 2018 as a Young Professional. She holds a PhD in Economics from Ecole Polytechnique and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Paris School of Economics.
