Andu is a development economist, currently working as a consultant with the Development Research Group. His work examines how infrastructure and access to factor markets influence structural transformation in low-income countries, with an emphasis on policy-relevant, data-driven research. He holds master’s degrees in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and master’s degrees in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Bonn, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University. Andu is currently completing a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Alberta.
