Astrid Pineda is a Young Professional in the Education Practice for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at the World Bank, based in Washington, DC. Her work applies rigorous quantitative methods and impact evaluation to study human capital and poverty in LAC, generating evidence to inform social policy design and investment decisions. She holds a PhD in Economics and Education from Columbia University and a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University.
