Emma Wadie Hobson is a senior social protection specialist in the Social Policy Department at the World Bank, with experience across West and Central Africa, East Africa, and work spanning South Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. She leads operational and analytical engagements and policy dialogue on social safety nets and delivery systems, productive inclusion and youth employment, active labor market programs, and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked or consulted at USAID, the European Commission, United Nations agencies, as well as international nongovernmental organizations.
