Luis Henrique Paiva is a Social Protection Specialist at the UNDP Regional Hub in Panama. Over 25 years of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of social protection policies. Led Bolsa Família, Brazil’s flagship cash transfer program (2012–2015), and also served as Director of the Brazilian Social Registry. Previously, he advised on four pension reforms. He holds a BA and a PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a Master’s in Social Policy from the University of Southampton. He has authored several papers, reports and book chapters on social policies.
