Mallory Saleson joined the World Bank in January 2003 in the South Africa country office where she was responsible for outreach and communications in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland. She left South Africa in September 2008 to join MIGA in Washington, D.C., where she leads the agency’s communications team.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Mallory worked for seven years in the private sector in South Africa. She began her professional career as a journalist, and spent two decades covering a range of issues in Washington, D.C and southern Africa.
She has a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters from Boston University.
