Nicolas Diaz Castellanos is the Knowledge Management Officer for Social Protection at the World Food Programme’s (WFP) Regional Bureau for Western and Central Africa. In this role, he leads social protection program reporting and monitoring across the region’s 19 countries. He currently supports the joint UNICEF-WFP Supporting Social Protection Systems in the Sahel project, financed by BMZ/KfW, coordinating as well with the World Bank on joint messaging and outreach on adaptive social protection in the Sahel.
Before joining WFP, Nicolas supported the knowledge management track of a joint ILO-UNHCR project on the integration of refugees in the digital economy and prior to that, he worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) for eight years.
