Olaide Asimiyu Akin-Olagunju is a consultant in the Development Data Group with over a decade of experience in research management and data analytics. He has worked across Poverty & Equity and Governance Global Practices (GPs) on data, statistics, and research support, alongside the Nigeria Gender Innovation Lab (GIL) on impact evaluation.
Prior to his assignments with The World Bank (including the collaborative NASC project with the FAO and IFAD), he gained extensive field and hands-on experience working on projects sponsored by CODESRIA, IITA, and BMBF/BMZ.
Olaide’s research spans agricultural policy, household welfare, income inequalities and international trade.
He holds a Doctoral degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan and professional global certifications in Human Research, Data Analytics and Data/AI from CITI, Microsoft, and Oracle, respectively. He is also a certified member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the global body committed to successful and ethical project execution.
