Shahad Alhomidi is a Health Policy Specialist at the Saudi Health Council (SHC), where she leads national initiatives to institutionalize evidence-informed governance within Saudi Arabia’s health transformation. Since 2019, she has played a leading role in national policy development initiatives, most notably serving as the Project Lead for the National Health Policy Evaluation Guideline, developed in strategic collaboration with the World Bank.

Her portfolio includes leading and contributing to high-impact national policy initiatives, such as the National Health Policy Development Guideline and the evaluation of the implementation of the mandatory medical malpractice insurance policy. With a Master of Public Health (Health Policy & Management) and a Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology, Shahad integrates rigorous epidemiological analysis with strategic policymaking to inform evidence-based decisions. Her work focuses on strengthening transparent, data-informed approaches to policymaking to enhance the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of Saudi Arabia’s health sector.
