Victoria Egbetayo is a Senior Program Officer in Program Advocacy and Communication on the Global Education team at the Gates Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked at the World Bank Group, where she led Global Public Policy, Advocacy, and Partnerships for the Global Partnership for Education. With deep expertise in advocacy, public policy, partnerships, and resource mobilization Victoria has worked across economic development and trade, global education—including foundational learning, gender equality, AI and Edtech — South–South cooperation and climate resiliency. She has served as lead strategist on G8/G7 and G20 processes, built high-impact partnerships, and mobilized financing from regional development banks, philanthropy, Middle Eastern sovereign funds, and bilateral and multilateral donors. Victoria has worked at national, sub-national, regional, and global levels in Africa, Europe, the United States, as well as education issues in South-East Asia. She has served on boards and steering committees, including the International Education Funders Group (IEFG). She holds a BSc (Hons) in Anthropology and an MSc (with distinction/cum laude) in Development Administration and Planning from University College London (UCL).
