Urban Resilience Consultant in the Global Urban and Rural Resilience Unit
Melody Benavidez is an Urban Resilience Consultant in the Global Urban and Rural Resilience Unit of the World Bank. She is currently working at the intersection of climate change resilience and sustainable inclusive development. She joined the Bank in 2016 and has contributed to the Disaster Risk Management practice through her work with the Building Regulation for Resilience (BRR) Program and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). Prior to working for the World Bank, Melody worked on advancing socially responsible finance practices at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London, Sustainalytics in Boston and Arabella Advisors in Washington, DC. She holds a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
