Kristina Wienhoefer

Consultant, Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience Global Practice, World Bank
Kristina Wienhoefer is a Disaster Risk Management Analyst (Consultant) with the Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience Global Practice in Washington DC. She provides analytical and operational support to projects primarily in the Latin America and Caribbean region, but is also working cross-regionally on DRM and climate resilience investment lending and technical assistance. Prior to this, Kristina was a Research Associate looking at the nexus of environment and human rights at the International Justice Initiative, and worked at the development economics department of the World Bank. She has also gained work experience at various other national and international organizations, including the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the KfW (German government-owned development Bank) and the US Consulate General. She holds a MA in international economics and international relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
