Sustainable Development Consultant
Ahmed Sy works on sustainable development issues in West Africa. He joined the World Bank in February 2018 and is currently based in Bamako, Mali, where he works mainly on development projects aimed at the reconstruction and economic recovery of the Sahel region. Before joining the Bank, Ahmed worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Côte d’Ivoire in the area of security governance, in the context of its program to combat the proliferation of small arms and light weapons. He holds a degree from the Aix en Provence (France) law faculty.
