PhD Student, University of Gothenburg
Anja Tolonen is a graduating PhD student at University of Gothenburg. She has experience as a consultant at the World Bank, and has been a visiting researcher at UC Berkeley and University of Oxford. In the summer 2015, she will take up the position as Assistant Professor at Barnard College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on welfare effects of natural resources, and how the sector affects women’s empowerment, labor markets and criminality.
