Since 2015, Atishay has been working at the cross-roads of fragility, conflict, climate and disaster risk at the World Bank. From the droughts in Somalia and Malawi to the conflict in North-East Nigeria, Atishay supported the Bank’s crisis response in Africa until 2017, before transitioning to South Asia as a Young Professional. Since then he has been supporting the Bank’s Climate change and disaster risk management efforts in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Maldives, with a strong focus on building climate resilience. He also worked with the FCV unit on the agenda of operationalizing FCV at WBG. Atishay also works on mainstreaming use of disruptive technologies for resilience. Prior to joining the Bank, Atishay worked at the International Committee of the Red Cross.
