Carlos Murgui is a Transport Consultant at the World Bank Group with more than five years of operational and analytical experience working in the transport project portfolio in Colombia. He assists the Bank in the preparation, execution and supervision of projects/activities aimed at creating the physical and social infrastructure necessary to reduce poverty and create sustainable development in a range of areas, such as urban mobility, waterway connectivity or road safety. He has been involved in the design of a US$41.9 million lending operation with the objective of enhancing waterway connectivity and provide water service provision in Colombia’s Plan Pazcifico, a fragile and post-conflict area. He has also participated in the supervision of the National Urban Transport Program Project in Bogota and other eight middle-sized cities which includes four lending operations totaling USD$1,107 million.
