David Horowitz is an Information Analyst with the Development Prospects Group. He helps to coordinate the technical aspects of the blog, and is heavily involved with other software produced by the group, including iSimulate @ World Bank. David's interests lie at the intersection of technology, business, and economics, where he feels there is a lot of space for improvement as the "collaborative web" continues to take off. While not working on the blog or on developing software of interest to economists, he enjoys hiking and backpacking through the great outdoors, being a fan of -- and attempting to participate in -- various sports, and keeping in shape. David holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and economics, both from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Engineering in Technology Management from The University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School.
