Fabian Mendez-Ramos joined the Development Prospects Group (DECPG) at the World Bank (WB) in March 2013. He works in exercises related with Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models, poverty and growth projections and Monte Carlo simulations. This year he is contributing to the Global Monitoring Report (GMR) where he is studying the uncertainty associated to poverty projections. In DECPG he also serves as a backup for the Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) regional outlook analyst. Furthermore, he has worked on the development of some statistical tools to optimize risk uncertainties for the assessment of the Global Economic Prospects (GEP) GDP growth projections. Previous to joining the World Bank, Mendez-Ramos finished a PhD in applied economics at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
