Faruk Miguel Liriano is a Financial Sector Analyst in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Unit of the Latin America and the Caribbean Region. He works primarily on financial stability issues. Before joining the World Bank Group, Faruk served in government institutions and central banking in Latin America. He worked as an economist in the Customs Office in the Dominican Republic, as a technical advisor for the Statistics Office in Chile, and served in different capacities at the Central Bank of Chile for five years. He holds a master’s degree in Applied Macroeconomics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
