Carbon Finance Specialist
Franka Braun, a German national,  is a Carbon Finance Specialist who is working on land-use and forestry projects in Latin America (LCR) and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECA) that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Previous to the World Bank, she worked at NatSource Asset Management, where she developed and managed carbon finance projects around the world, and served as the company's specialist for forestry transactions. She has also worked at the UNDP on access to energy in Africa and in the World Bank's PREM department. 

Franka holds an Master's degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin, and a Master’s degree in Economic Policy and International Energy Policy Management from Columbia University.
