Franklin Allen is the Nippon Life Professor of Finance and Economics at the Wharton School of Business. He is co-director of the Financial Institutions Center at Wharton, and formerly vice dean and director of Wharton Doctoral Programs. He has won numerous teaching awards and served in various editorial capacities at several of the world's top academic journals for finance and economics. Dr. Allen's research has focused on financial crises, corporate finance, asset pricing and the economics of information. He received his doctorate in Economics from Oxford University.
