Gregor is a Research Assistant and final year PhD researcher in data analytics based at the University of Nottingham, UK. His doctoral research investigates the use of mobile phone data to investigate socio-economic levels, mobility trends and land-use as well as their interaction in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He holds a masters’ degree in Human Geography and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, that investigated the role of big data as an enabler for ethnic conflict. Outside of his academic work, he has been supporting the African Drone Forum as a World Bank STC, and the global student hacker community as a member of the Major League Hacking team.
