Joana Monteiro da Mota is a consultant in Economics in the Macro Trade and Investment (MTI) Global Practice. She joined the World Bank in 2017 supporting the MTI work program in East Africa, mostly working in the Union of Comoros. Currently, she is part of the MTI CEMAC team of economists, working in Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Republic of Congo and CEMAC regional issues. Previously to joining the World Bank, Joana held different assignments at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg and the Portuguese Permanent Delegation to the OECD in Paris. Joana holds a Research Master’s degree in Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
