Jose Luis Diaz Sanchez, a Peruvian national, joined through the World Bank’s Young Professional program in 2016. Since then, he worked as an Economist in MENA region, as Country Economist for Comoros and Equatorial Guinea. He previously worked in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department as Technical Assistance Advisor/Fiscal Economist. He also held different assignments at the Office of the World Bank’s Chief Economist, IEG, the IMF’s European Department, and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. Jose Luis holds a PhD in economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University/Paris School of Economics. He has published several papers in peer reviewed international journals on macro-fiscal issues.
