Lisa Finneran is Senior Adviser, Development Finance at the World Bank Group, focusing on IBRD and IDA financial policies and strategy.
She served as Director of IDA Resource Mobilization, managing the team leading negotiations for the 18th replenishment of IDA, the World Bank’s Fund for the poorest.  IDA18 closed with a record financing package for the poorest countries and introduced multiple innovations including launching IDA in international capital markets backed by a AAA credit rating.  Lisa has also held the position of Director, IBRD Corporate Finance, responsible for IBRD income and balance sheet management, implementing measures to increase profitability and expand capacity to finance middle-income countries development agendas. 
Prior to joining the World Bank Group in 2002, she worked in the Washington and Jakarta offices of McKinsey and Company, and was Lecturer in Economics at the University of Oxford, at Trinity College, Dublin and at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. 
Lisa holds Masters and Doctorate degrees in Economics from the University of Oxford (St. John’s College) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Trinity College, Dublin.
