Special Envoy on MDGs and Financial Development
Mahmoud Mohieldin is the World Bank Group president’s special envoy. He also serves as the World Bank representative at G20 Deputies Meetings. He holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Warwick and a master's degree in economic and social policy analysis from the University of York.

Mohieldin is tasked with coordinating the World Bank Group agenda on Millennium Development Goals and the post-2015 process. He manages efforts to strengthen partnerships with multilateral development institutions. This responsibility is complemented by leading the World Bank Group work on long-term finance and financial inclusion, as these issues are vital for achieving inclusive and sustainable growth.
