Marcela Gutierrez is a Research Analyst at the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice. She has five years of experience designing, implementing and evaluating social programs in Latin America, and implementing Household Surveys in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and the Western Balkans. Prior to her current role, she worked as a project coordinator of the STEP Skills Measurement Program, a Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Social Protection and Inclusion in Peru, a Research Manager at Innovations for Poverty Action and a consultant to the Social Protection and Health Practice of the IADB. She holds a M.A. in Public Administration/International Development from Harvard University, a MA and BA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and a BA in Business Administration.
