Marcio Jose Vargas de Cruz
Marcio Cruz has been working on a new version of the Global Income Distribution Dynamics (GIDD) model since 2013 as a researcher for the Development Economics Prospects Group at World Bank. He is an assistant professor (on leave) of the Department of Economics at the Federal University of Paraná, where he was teaching Microeconomics and International Trade, from 2006 to 2010. He also had a previous experience on elaboration and evaluation of public policies as an economist of the Secretary of Planning of the state of Paraná, between 2004 and 2006. He is a PhD candidate in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, in Geneva. His research covers different topics on development economics, including impact evaluation of social programs, international trade, poverty and inequality.
