Maria Eugenia Davalos is a Senior Economist in the Global Poverty and Equity Practice, focused on the Latin American and Caribbean region and previously in the Europe and Central Asia region. She joined the World Bank in 2010 through the Young Professionals Program and has since worked in the Global Poverty and Equity Practice. She currently leads the poverty and equity programs for Bolivia and Colombia. She has worked on various issues throughout her career at the World Bank, including economic mobility, the labor market, gender, migration, and determinants of poverty and inequality. Maria Eugenia holds a master's degree in Economic Policy Management at the Center for the Study and Research on International Development (France), and was awarded with a Fulbright scholarship for her PhD in Economics at Fordham University (New York).
