Naoto Kanehira is a Senior Strategy and Operations Officer at the Office of the World Bank Group Human Resources Vice President. He has previously held operational roles at the Bank focusing on technology, productivity, entrepreneurship and employment, promoting related corporate initiatives and multi stakeholder partnerships on science, technology, innovation (STI) and digital cooperation through UN, OECD and G20. Prior to joining the World Bank, Naoto co-founded a mobile internet software start-up in 1998 and worked for McKinsey from 2000 to 2010 advising public and private sector clients on growth and sustainable development. Naoto holds an MPA from Harvard University and an MSc in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
