Qahir Dhanani is a Senior Private Sector Specialist at the World Bank in Washington DC. He leads competitiveness, innovation, and entrepreneurship projects for the Bank in South Asia, leveraging his experience with similar projects in Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. In his previous role as an Advisor to the CEO, he developed the architecture of a Bank-wide effort to transform the institution’s operating model and culture by introducing “agile” methods borrowed from the technology and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining the Bank, he was a management consultant supporting private sector clients in the Middle East. Qahir holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Economics and Government from Cornell University.
