Qursum Qasim is a Financial and Private Sector Development Analyst, in the Africa Region (West and Central) of the World Bank's Financial and Private Sector Development (FPD) Network. Qursum in 2013 joined the Africa FPD team, where she manages Development Grant Facility funding for two country pilots and supports the setting up of a global program for access to SME finance for women entrepreneurs. She previously worked in the Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (ITE) practice in the FPD Network, where she contributed analyses to regional innovation strategies, co-authored and developed knowledge products, and researched national competitiveness strategies. She has also worked in the financial sector in Pakistan and on impact evaluation methodologies. Qursum has a graduate degree in public policy from Georgetown University with a focus on international policy, and she has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
