Sebastian is a Senior Economist with the World Bank Group, based in Washington D.C. He joined the World Bank office in Jakarta in 2006 and has been working on analytical, advisory and lending operations mainly in the areas of fiscal policy and public finance across several countries, including Indonesia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Romania, Armenia, Serbia, Ukraine, Colombia, Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. Prior to joining the Bank, Sebastian worked as a policy and budget analyst on technology and innovation with one of Germany's State Governments and as an economist with the German International Cooperation (GIZ). He holds a MSc from the University of Birmingham and PhD in Public Finance from the University of Potsdam, Germany.
