Srilata Kammila is a Senior Consultant with the Africa Energy Group at the World Bank. She is the focal point for World Bank’s ‘Africa Clean Cooking Energy Solutions’ (ACCES), a regional initiative being launched to promote clean cooking solutions including clean, efficient cookstoves and sustainable fuel supply, in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her work focuses on design, development and implementation of a market-transformation platform that enables clean cooking sector development through holistic interventions to ease barriers related to quality and performance, finance, consumer engagement, market and business development, and policy and regulation. Srilata has in-depth experience working in energy access and poverty, renewable and off-grid technologies, carbon financing, and low emission, sustainable development fields in Sub-Saharan Africa and India with particular expertise in the role of entrepreneurship and private sector in advancing poverty alleviation and economic development. Prior to her career in International Development, she led and executed projects related to Information Systems, Product and Market Development, and Community Outreach in the private and non-profit sectors. Srilata holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Alberta in Canada and a joint Masters in Business Administration from MIT and Master of Public Administration from Harvard, USA.
