Veronica is an Analyst in the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. She focuses on conducting jobs diagnostics to identify constraints to good-quality job creation. She is currently on an external service assignment, acting as an advisor to the Minister of Finance in Mexico, on topics such as health reform and women’s economic inclusion. Before joining the Bank, Veronica worked for Clínicas del Azúcar, where she helped structure a results-based financing contract to bring services to the most vulnerable diabetic population. Previously, she worked at Instiglio, in Colombia, designing results-based financing models to achieve cost-effective impact of social interventions. She also has experience in public finance, having worked as a researcher at the Economic and Budgetary Research Center (CIEP). She obtained her Master's Degree in Economics from the University College London and her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
