Wilfried A. Kouamé is currently an Economist in the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice of the World Bank Group, where he is working on various development policy operations as well as fiscal and economic growth policy reports in West and Central Africa. Wilfried joined the World Bank through the World Bank Summer Internship Program and was a research fellow in the Office of the Chief Economist for Africa region, where he contributed to different reports and research projects.
Wilfried holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from Sherbrooke University and taught at HEC Montreal and Sherbrooke University in Canada. He has authored and co-authored several academic papers, and World Bank reports on a range of topics. Wilfried's research focuses on a variety of issues related to productivity, structural reforms, domestic resources mobilization, and fiscal policy.
